Software Tester

As a Software tester at Kratos Norway, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test scenarios confirming the software requirements compliance and the software usability and interoperability. You will function as an internal customer to different development teams and will setup testing platforms including software and hardware components. You are a problem solver, with a thorough systematic approach to the challenges and proud for helping the team achieving results. You have a background within complex software products and testing platforms. Working from our office with a beautiful view over the Oslo fjord, you will be making the difference within a small but very skilled technical group working with market disruptive Satcom products.

Key Responsibilities

• Interacting with the Product and Development teams you will be reviewing system specifications, preparing tests setups and organizing test cases.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated), analyze results and report bugs and errors to the development teams.
• Release testing together with other groups in the organization.
• Customer support.
• Key contributor to the Kratos testing planning cycles (this might require travelling or remote meetings in the US time zone).
• Interact with customers to understand product requirements and possible improvements.
• Support other parts of the organization at need (sales, delivery, or customer support).

Experience & Skills

• Higher technical education within software development, minimum bachelor’s degree.
• Significant and documented experience in software test design and software testing methodologies.
• Firsthand experience with creating testing documentation, testing reporting and bug/defect reporting.
• Working knowledge of programming and scripting.
• Firsthand experience with virtualization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Linux and Windows.
• Communication protocols, e.g., TCP/IP, 3GPP.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.
•  Experienced with managing testing resources and setup of testing platforms.
• Atlassian toolchain.
• Comfortable in using English as working language.
