Project Controller

We have an open position as Project Controller to support our project deliveries in Land Based Business Area.  The position shall support project governance activities and ensure project progress in accordance with risk management, project goals, deadlines and budgets and that appropriate corrective measures are in place.

The Project Controller will report to Land Based Business Area Controller but work closely with project managers in the business area. Work location will be at our head office at Klepp.

Responsibilities /Tasks

• Monthly financial reporting and closing
• Assist project managers with budgets and forecasts
• Make sure that projects are assessed financially correctly in relation to progress, cost and revenue recognition
• Proactively identify commercial risks and implement mitigating measures together with project managers
• Contribute to compliance with processes and project governance and follow up deviations
• Support project manager on contractual elements such as variation orders
• Arrange regular status meetings to improve project efficiency and margin
• Identify areas for improvement, development of processes and systems for continuous improvement
• Actively participate in the company's digitization initiative, implementation projects for new IT systems and processes as needed

Qualifications/Background 

• Higher financial education and preferably 3 years of relevant experience from similar areas of responsibility
• Good accounting and business understanding
• Strong analytical skills, experience from ERP systems, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good oral and written presentation skills in Norwegian and English
• Good facilitator and communicator
• Proactive and service-minded
