We are looking for strongly motivated Quantity Measurement (surveyor) Engineers to strengthen our capabilities within emerging industries, such as, hydrogen, carbon capture and offshore wind, in addition to our traditional offshore and onshore projects.

The positions are within the Department for Weight & Quantity Measurement and Construction Control, organized as a center of excellence under the Legal & Safeguarding and project control. The Department is responsible for establishing and maintaining the fabrication norms and to calculate income basis in projects. This also includes the calculation and verification of control parameters for the projects, as well as estimating the consequences of changes. We are also responsible for data collection and development of experience data in a way that develops Aker Solutions competitiveness in future jobs. Aker Solutions expects an increase in activity in this area - and has therefore decided to strengthen our capacity.

We are looking for several positions in different locations Stord, Egersund, Verdal, or at our Head office in Fornebu. This is an opportunity if you are early in your carrier or senior with strong experience. We offer you challenging projects within a changemaking industry towards sustainable energy future.

What will you be doing?

• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Monitor and consolidate overall quantity forecasts and quantity updates, including input to project control monthly and baseline process. Keep special focus on forecasts and present new trends when identified
• Calculation of revenue basis for tenders and projects
• Establishment and maintenance of experience data
• Improvement of Aker Solutions competitive position through the analysis of the experience data
• Benchmarking and quality assurance of the norms and quantities
• Development of estimating tools
• Support Business management processes in tenders and projects
• Prepare and present information to project management
• Assistance to other estimation activities within the department
• Estimate impact of construction changes

We think you should have:

Quantity Measurement Engineer:

• Bachelor/Masters degree. A combination of economic and technical education can be an advantage – pls upload copy of your Diploma
• Good understanding of Excel
• Eager to learn and take on more tasks/responsibilities

Senior Quantity Measurement Engineer:

• Bachelor/Masters degree. A technical background from skilled workers combined with experience from production and/or economical education is also an option – pls upload copy of your Diplomas
• A combination of economic and technical education or experience is preferred
• Good knowledge of industrial technical trades, familiar with contract interpretations
• Experience from project control or construction management
• Knowledge to software tools like MS excel, PowerPoint and database tools
