Compact Carbon Capture develops a rotating bed technology that is a novel process intensification utilizing centrifugal acceleration to intensify mass transfer. In principle, it can be applied to any solvent based post-combustion site of emission.

As a Lead Process design engineer for Compact Carbon Capture you will be work closely with other engineering experts in a multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for chemical engineering design for the novel absorber and desorber, and also participate in all other process items needed to develop the technology.

As a Lead Process design engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Heat and mass balances
• Solution management
• HSE matters
• Putting design information into system.
• Relating to the mechanical engineering side of this technology, mainly with interacting with the mechanical engineers in the project

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with absorption and desorption mass transfer with chemical reaction
• Design of absorption – desorption process
• Understand Thermodynamics
• Understand Physical chemistry
• CO2 capture using amine based solvents
• Have deep knowledge of Chemistry in general
• Have experience with R&D and engineering
• Process simulations
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
• Be Flexible in working from Norway for extended periods of time
• Have a creative mindset, and stamina to get things done
