Head Financial Advisor, Performance and Risk Management

The Performance and Risk Management department supports the Statkraft Groups overall objective of maximizing long term value creation and reduce the probability of operational and financial risk.

Business Analysis is a unit within the Performance and Risk Management department in the CFO organisation, with seven employees. The unit is responsible for providing business analysis and insight to support strategy development, investment decisions, financial planning, and performance management within Statkraft, as well as providing governance principles. The unit has an ambition to strengthen its focus on analysis and delivering insight with real impact on decision making. Many of the deliveries are done in close collaboration with corporate strategy and finance teams across Statkraft. The unit is now looking for a Head Financial Advisor. The purpose of the position is to develop scorecards, deliver business analysis and insight to drive performance management in Statkraft. The position reports to Vice President Business Analysis and involves interaction with professionals and senior management across the company. The content of the position can be adapted to qualifications and interests and as such represents a great development opportunity for the right candidate.

Your role:

Main responsibilities include the following:

• Deliver financial and operational analysis to support the performance management process, identify key learnings from analysis and implications for Statkraft
  • Profitability analysis and value creation
  • Operational analysis of performance
  • Benchmarks, analysis of competitors
  • Contribute to develop group and BA scorecard and KPIs
  • Analyse performance in Group and BA scorecards with focus on financial KPIs
  • Establish stretch targets/trendlines in line with strategic ambitions and provide analysis to challenge performance
  • Contribute to position the Business Analysis unit as center of excellence in its areas of expertise including competence building and support to BAs

Your profile:

We are looking for a candidate with these qualifications:

• Masters degree in Finance and Business Administration or similar
• Experience with business analysis and controlling, performance management/profitability analysis, preferably from an industrial company, investment bank, management consultancy or similar
• Strong commercial/business understanding
• Strong analytical capacity and ability to draw and communicate implications of analysis
• Self-driven with a desire to develop the groups performance management function
• Very good communication and collaboration skills, including ability to communicate with executive/senior management
• Ability and willingness to quickly familiarize with new challenges and business
• Able to handle tight deadlines and to work on several complex activities simultaneously
• Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and orally

Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries. The applicant must be eligible for security clearance and authorization. 

The position will be located at the head office in Lilleaker, Oslo, Norway. Some traveling may be required but this will not be frequent.
