Our power and automation team in Tranby and Fornebu is now looking for Senior/Specialist Electrical Engineers within Power Systems & Technology.

The candidate selected for this role will be able to work from Tranby or Fornebu.

What will you be doing?

• You will be working with electrical power products and systems related to the entire chain from concept/feasibility studies, FEED, tender phase, execution projects and commissioning support
• One key differentiator is our cutting-edge subsea power technology and how this is used to ensure the most competitive solutions for subsea compression / boosting, power-from-shore transmission systems and offshore wind power. Your responsibility will be within power system and equipment engineering, including R&D, development of new technology and designing the system totality, both onshore, subsea and offshore
• Supporting front-end studies, R&D projects, engineering, and delivery of subsea / topside power system components like variable speed drives, circuit breakers, transformers, electric motors, HV connectors, and power cables
• Involvement in technical sales of the portfolio of power system technology and electrical power product offerings towards clients, and maintaining relations with external expertise within suppliers, research organizations and universities
• Technical support in procurement and contractual processes, as well as strategy processes

We think you should have:

• M.Sc. within Electrical Power Engineering
• Minimum 5 years' experience from the energy business, e.g., within grid, industrial, wind, offshore or subsea high voltage power systems and components (VSDs, motors, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems etc)
• Experience within engineering, delivery and follow-up of electrical systems/equipment and projects
• Experience from power system simulation tools is advantageous, but not required. We use DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Flux2D/UFIELD etc, and will train you as needed
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both in teams and with limited supervision while having an interest in supporting and leading others. We have a strong team that supports each other, fostering involvement and knowledge sharing
• Proactive, practical, structured and analytical
