Financial Accounting Manager

About the unit
Operational Shared Services Europe (OSS Europe) consist of 40 professionals working in the area of accounting and reporting. OSS Europe is providing services to Yara corporate as well as to other Yara units. The unit is in charge of the accounts of around 80 entities.

We are now looking for a specialized and motivated Financial Accounting Manager to strengthen our team in Porsgrunn, which consists of 12 employees in charge of 30 entities.

You will be responsible for your own customer portfolio which consist of a mix of customers. Either with their own finance department containing several business controllers and a Financial Manager, or customers where you will be responsible for accounting tasks from A to Z including to hold the Financial Manager role.

You will work in an international environment and become your client’s local expert when it comes to corporate reporting issues. A goal for the department is to develop and maintain a substantial team with multidisciplinary skills.

Responsibilities

• Accounting from A-Z for several clients
• Make sure that day to day transactions, correct reconciliations and financial reporting (HFM) are provided
• Assist with special transactions
• Prepare complete financial statements and tax returns for your customer portfolio
• Be the business relation manager for the external auditors and Yara’s internal expertise team within legal and tax
• Identify and handle a huge specter of different issues within accounting, VAT and tax areas
• Contribute for developing the accounting routines, processes and systems

• Master’s degree/CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience within financial reporting or audit
• Good knowledge within accounting and the distinction between IFRS and NOGAAP
• Proficient excel skills and experience with SAP, HFM and Business Objects is an advantage
• Curious, proactive and solution-oriented with a continuous improvement attitude
• Fluent in English and one Scandinavian language
