As Sales Director Europe (f/m/x) you will be responsible to develop, maintain, and execute the long-term profitable revenue growth plans for the Couplings Business Unit with European customers. You will lead a team of Key Account Managers as well as managing your own customer base.
 
This position will be based in Raufoss (Norway) or Gothenburg (Sweden).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Couplings sales planning and execution of strategies to increase sales growth with the European customer baseEstablish, develop, and execute marketing/sales strategies, plans, and sales forecasts for the European market based on current and projected market and customers information
  • Coordinate and deliver rolling 5-year strategic plan every year for Europe
  • Manage and develop the competences and capabilities of the European sales team toward profitable growth and flawless customer program execution
  • Work is highly technical and complex in character and requires high technical and broad business knowledge
  • Requires independent problem solving and decision making with only very broad direction given on assignments
  • Develops multilevel internal/external contacts to provide customer support for area of responsibility
  • Services customers in accordance with external expectations and internal organizational standards and direction
  • Drive the business in selling existing products and introduction of new products and technology concepts to customers. Interfaces with internal and external contacts regarding product specifications, cost/price, timing, et cetera
  • Identifies and evaluates new business opportunities. Performs market and customer research as necessary
  • Assists internal engineering groups in developing products and cost information necessary to determine new technologies and right market pricing
  • Suggests new technologies and product modifications to assure that current and future products meet customers’ needs
  • Secure customers are respecting agreed terms & conditions including payment in time to meet NWC targets
  • Work together with sales & marketing team to secure internal standards, processes and required documentation are followed, completed, and stored within agreed timelines and -systems

Requirements

  • Experience managing others in a hectic team environment
  • Candidates must have an extensive experience in a similar role with OEM direct sales experience
  • Proven consistent, reliable track record with experience with multiple products, customers and/or project exposure. Must have mastery of this field including ability to gain thorough knowledge / expertise of products, customers, competitors, technologies, and programs in respective area
  • Achievement and experience with managing a broad range of product technologies preferred
  • Must be able to oversee the management of programs and take responsibility for critical programs based on large sales volume and/or strategic importance
  • Must be able to develop long-term strategies to meet future business needs and growth opportunities
  • Demonstrated decision making/leadership abilities in managing multiple programs to meet goals (quality, cost, and delivery of programs) from concept through launch and serial delivery
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts and represent the Company in a professional manner when performing job duties
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions
  • Must have experience with project financial responsibilities to develop strong profitable business cases as well as post project analyses
