OceanSMART, an Oceaneering International, Inc. business unit, is seeking highly motivated, intelligent, and skilled Senior Full Stack Java Developer  to join our growing, international Development team. Advanced algorithms, high throughput data streaming platforms, dynamic web and mobile applications utilizing the latest frameworks and libraries, sophisticated analytics and insight engines these are the types of activities you will immerse yourself in on our team.  

At OceanSMART, we'm not looking for someone who's just looking for a job, we're seeking those who are sincerely passionate about this space, who enjoy the challenge of utilizing technology to create things no one has created before. It's guaranteed to be difficult, but also rewarding.  

Developers on our team are treated as professionals, and are expected to engage and collaborate with Product to devise solutions, not just get handed a list of requirements to code. We operate in an Agile environment with just enough process to be effective, without too much process to be overly burdensome and hamper productivity. And we continuously improve with ideas generated from the whole team, not just from the top down. 

We value those who are interested in exploring and attempting new technology, not those who are only comfortable with solutions that worked 15 years ago. 10% of your time will be allocated towards pursuing self-derived efforts, such as analyzing, researching, and implementing new technologies / approaches / improvements to the platform. We see this as both an opportunity for the developer to engage in new technology AND as an opportunity for improvement to our system.
