• How can we chose the best data structures and what are the tradeoffs or alternatives?
• What existing technologies to use or sun set and why?
• What third-party technologies should be used and why?
• How can we design a competitive API both for internal and external use?
• Identify, explain and deal with important technical dependencies or limitations different products have. Can you think of new and creative ways to overcome them?
• Break down the products logically into smaller, more manageable components.
• Are there architecture or design anti-patterns present and how can we deal with these?

In this role you will also learn from others and practice mentoring to be able to scale your throughput and cause larger impact across the organization.

The way we work

Some technologies we deal with

Today we are utilizing: Vue, Typescript, GraphQL, Java, Spring, Node, Jest, HTML5, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, WEB Services and REST-api and some more. On our tech radar technologies like: Holograms, Process mining, RPA, Machine learning, Digital twins, Conversational interfaces, VR, AR, Autonomous cars and many more. We are heading toward full test automation and also building a robust suite of automated tests based on “model based testing”. BDD, Cucumber, continuous testing, continuous security and continuous deployment are parts of our technical runway going forward.

• Make clear, simple, and technically superior design decisions
• Simplify designs that others have made complicated
• Apply a particularly high-quality bar to what we believe are the core technical design decisions - data structures, algorithms, architectural patterns, and the leverage of third-party implementations
• Utilize other colleagues as force-multipliers, mentoring them by providing high-quality feedback on their work
• Synthesize your decisions and designs into clear and structured written specs

Education

A university degree that includes the study of data structures and algorithms or the understanding and mastering of these.

At least 5 years experience with writing software that you are proud of.
