Job description

The Global Accounting, Master Data and European Accounting Centre is placed in the CFO organization and consist of 43 employees in Norway, Sweden, Germany and UK.  

Global Accounting is the group wide process owner for accounting and is responsible for ensuring harmonization and efficiency in both accounting processes and systems across the group.  
The Global Master Data team is responsible for the master data process.  
The European Accounting Centre provides Shared Accounting and Unit Reporting services to Statkraft companies in Norway, Sweden, Germany, Netherland, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Belgium and France. 

Your role 

We are now seeking a trainee to join our strong and competent team!  

Driven by digitalization technologies the role of accounting is changing. The role of the accountant is changing. A curiosity about technology will be valued. Key words are automation, data mining, digitalization, robotics, artificial intelligence. You will be working alongside highly competent people as well as digital assistants of many kinds.  

The composition of the 1 year program will be tailored to your background, and will give you broad experience and professional challenges. At the end of the program you will be offered a permanent position in one of the departments in Accounting.  

Your profile 

• Masters degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or similar with good results 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with sound judgement  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.  
• Great passion for business, energy markets and the renewable industry 
• Self-driven, comfortable with high work pressure and a positive team player  
• Personal initiative and creativity will be emphasized 
• You are flexible in terms of tasks and mobility

About the International Trainee Programme 

The objective of the programme is to develop young talents in the best way possible, and provide insight into our entire operations and value chain. It is a one-year programme with three different work rotations of four months, of which at least one will be abroad. The programme is tailored to the trainees background and the units competence needs. As a trainee you will attend regular courses and social gatherings where the trainee group meets to acquire new skills and share experiences. Upon completion of the programme you are offered a permanent position in the department where you will continue to work in a new position.
