Do you want to work in a fast pace project environment and continue to develop and grow our Inspection Business? Archer are now looking for a new Lifting Equipment Controller to join our business and support our Engineering projects

This role can be based in either of our Engineering offices in Bergen or Sandnes. Your main role will be to perform lifting gear inspections for customers and provide Material Handling Planning for Engineering projects in Archer

Key responsibilities

Carry out annual lifting gear inspections of equipment related to repair and certification both internally and Archer's own area and with customers.
Make sure the rental equipment is in compliance with current regulations, customer requirements and Archer specifications
Internal and external reporting in accordance with requirements.
Customer follow-up as the project requires.
Decide, in accordance with acceptance criteria, whether parts are serviceable or not, and specify necessary repair work.
Perform minor repair or mechanical work.
Perform visual checks and NDT checks in accordance with expert business procedures and applicable certificates on own and customer equipment

Experience

Approved Controller / Competent Person G11. G7K and G10K would also be an advantage
Significant experience in Lifting Equipment Controls and Material Handling
Thorough knowledge of NORSOK R-002 & R-003 Machine Directive
Experience in conducting NDT inspection and holding one or more certificates such as MT/PT or ET would also be an advantage

Personal skills

Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written
Structured, analytical and proactive work attitude
High integrity to business compliance
Eager to seek information at various levels in order to optimize deliverables
Independent and solution oriented
