Fjord Shipping is seeking a Vessel Superintendent

Vessel superintendent is responsible for

• Follow-up of vessels in operation
• Ability and capacity to follow up vessel maintenance
• Plan and manage maintenance, ship-repair / dry-docking
• Ensure compliance with IMO, Class and statutory requirements
• Motivate and follow up on vessels HSE performance
• Budgetary responsibility for assigned vessels
• Report to Technical Manager/Fleet Manager
• Work in close cooperation with HSEQ-department for improvement and streamlining of the company SMS

Preferred skills and experience

• Relevant maritime background
• Experience in equivalent tasks within shipping, classification and/or shipyards is preferred
• Able to work in a structured and independent manner
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Knowledge of Unisea reporting system and TM Master maintenance system is an advantage
• Efficient reporting / excellent communication and prioritisation skills
• Go-ahead and motivated spirit, positive attitude and excellent teamwork ability is highly appreciated
