Helly Hansen is looking for a Store Manager to our Flagship Store in Oslo

The Store Manager main responsibilities are to maximize profits, achieve revenue targets for his store while ensuring adequate and agreed retail operational standards are achieved and maintained. We are looking for a goal oriented person with brand store or multi-site background, history of success, and with a can-do behavior. The person has at least 4 years' experience in retail, and at least 2 years management experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operational excellence

  • Consistent execution and compliance with Helly Hansen operating standards, guidelines and procedures through frequent store audits.
  • Coach of store team in the application of agreed procedures and tools.
  • Identify and share best practices within the Stores team, lead, promote and monitor improvement processes through weekly implementation plans.
  • Manage and maximize operational efficiencies and productivity in-line with the regional Operations lead directives.
  • Ensure integrated execution of retail marketing campaigns (staff, product, POP) to achieve high return vs. marketing investment.

Merchandising Management

  • Monitor inventory, sell through and availability and work closely with the regional retail leadership.
  • Ensure POS and inventory management systems accuracy.
  • Ensure consistent execution of merchandise layouts: i.e. merchandise density, ensure appropriate space allocation - product to floor space, Visual Standards execution.
  • Provide directives and communicate to regional functions of seasonal buying requirements.
  • Ensure allocation is executed accurately and replenishment based on required volumes.
  • Ensure VM store standards are implemented, improved and maintained in line with the brand guidelines.

Customer Service and People development

  • Create a serene work environment where every and each employee can feel accomplished and can achieve his/her aspirations.
  • Hire based on competencies and relevant skills while ensuring a well balance mix of personalities and knowledge is achieved.
  • Develop yearly personal development plan for each team member.
  • Lead, develop and evaluate team performance by coaching & training.
  • Manage performance with an honest, objective and professional approach ensuring personal growth.
  • Develop and execute a yearly training
  • Execute induction to new employees.
  • Ensure store team are consistently achieving and delivering customer service standards.

Financial Planning and KPI Management

  • Working with the team, produce a store specific business plan to ensure that the store achieves its sales and profitability targets.
  • Provide store budget for sales and expenditure to reflect stores financial results and implement improvement plans.
  • Analyze and report weekly on KPI's and store performance, ensure targets are achieved.
  • Manage administration processes for assigned store, including reward schemes. Develop staffing and salary plans by store within agreed budget.
  • Work with the Retail Management in developing and monitoring of annual budgets
  • Ensure execution of commercial and marketing plans for the store as required.
