Dataloy Systems seeks a UX & UI Designer to join our growing team in Bergen.
Technological innovation is at the heart of everything we do, and you will use your expertise to lead the design interface, test, document, and support the products that shipping industries rely on to do their business.
You will be working very closely with the development teams and it is important that you understand development to be able to connect your designs to the process of bringing them to life. You will have a direct impact on the future of shipping software.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and implement concept, prototyping, interaction and visual design in continuous dialogue with product owners, development teams and customers
- Collaborate closely with developers and take responsibility for the design implementation
- Ensuring compliance with and developing design guidelines and direction
- Designing brand new concepts as well as continuous improvement of existing solutions
- Solving customer pain points through research, design iteration and testing
- Document design interactions and flows in an easy way to understand
Qualifications:
- Experience and skill can compensate for formal relevant education
- At least 2 years of experience with UX/UI design
- Up to date portfolio
- Excellent design skills and intuitive understanding of interaction design
- Ability for holistic and long-term thinking
- Ability to design software that works on all screen sizes (incl. mobile)
- Experience with modern tools such as: Figma, FramerX, Sketch or Adobe XD
- Experience in agile working environments
- Fluent in English written and spoken
- Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of Material Design or other similar design languages.
- The ideal candidate has experience with or good knowledge of front end development.
- Experience with WCAG and Design thinking is an advantage
