BI Solution Architect

The Data Insight team is part of Corporate Finance and responsible for providing a global BI service to all different stakeholders. We are responsible for BI frontend reporting tools like Alteryx and Microsoft, whereas a team in Yara IT is responsible for backend tool SAP BW on HANA. The BI Team with its team of 12, is located in 4 different locations in Europe. And we also have regional BI representatives in all continents of the world.

We are looking for a BI solution Architect - responsible for business intelligence technical architecture while working collaboratively with BI developers, BI Analyst, Subject matter experts,  Super-users and relevant IT peers. The BI Solution Architect is responsible for guiding the development of the analytics platform and driving  data modernization initiatives.
 

• Define BI standards, governance, architectural guidelines and implement best practices
• Plan and lead BI environment growth projects through continuous improvement and best practices
• Recommend strategies to improve performance and capacity of BI tools.
• Able to foresee and resolve BI tool capacity issues
• Performs BI Platform impact analysis (architectural and environmental changes)
• Develop BI test strategies as needed
• Partner with BI Development team in architecting successful BI/DW solutions and fine tune existing data models.
• Provides coaching/training to junior members of team as appropriate
• Own and run innovation projects 
   

• Degree, preferable master (minimum Bachelor) within Business Administration / Engineering / Computer Science with minimum 5 years relevant professional experience. 
• 5+ year experience with ETL, data modelling and Data Warehousing
• Experience with the full lifecycle of BI projects and project methodology techniques and documentation (waterfall, agile)
• Structured, customer service-minded, team-player, proactive and highly committed
• English (fluent written and spoken). Other European languages are a plus
