Our Virtualization team, which is part of our larger Infrastructure department, aims to create and maintain stable and efficient virtualization platforms based on specific technologies, that support the business units in each country that Basefarm operates in.

The role:

As a Systems Consultant (or Senior Systems Consultant) you will work as part of the Virtualization team and contribute to the operation and development of our virtualization platforms. You will specifically work with the development and operation of our DaaS/VDI platform(s).

Key areas of responsibility:

• Planning, assessing and executing maintenance tasks on the production platform
• Execute Life cycle management
• Plan and implements changes
• Manage related projects
• Establish and communicate best practices
• Standardize tools and workload
• Take responsibility for problem resolution, recommend options and implement if required
• Deliver 3rd line IT infrastructure support

Who we are looking for:

Basefarm always goes the extra mile for our customers, so we are looking for people who are naturally service minded and able to build strong relationships both internally and externally. You should be structured in your work and have a desire to take ownership and responsibility of your area of work. You should also be quality driven and naturally interested in learning and working with new technologies.

In terms of experience/skills, we believe you have:

• At least 3 years’ relevant experience within the IT industry
• Hands-on experience with VMware and Linux systems
• Experience in automation and scripting (PowerShell)
• Experience from a managed service environment (incident handling, change management, etc.)
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

It is preferable, but not essential, if you have:

• Experience and/or knowledge of VMware Horizon / VMware Daas / Hyper-V
