Field Life Extension (FLX) is a new unit in the Company, with startup 1st of April 2020.
FLX will meet the strategic opportunities and challenges that our late life field offer to our competitiveness on the Norwegian Continental shelf (NCS).
FLX will transform our way of working to ensure that we create sustainable value from the NCS for several decades.
In FLX there will be a broad range of interesting and exciting tasks related to petroleum technology for the coming years.
We will develop new ways of working and shape the way we work towards even more safe and efficient operations with a high focus on low carbon emissions from late life fields in the FLX portfolio.
FLX Petec competence unit will have responsibility for all petroleum technical work for the Statfjord field including mapping and maturation of near field exploration.
The Statfjord field has been producing since 1979 and is currently producing approximately 80-90 000 bbl oe/d from the area, comprising the Statfjord Unit including the Barnacle well to the UK, and the three satellite fields Statfjord Nord, Sygna and Statfjord Øst.

Description about task and responsibilities

• Petroleum technology work on the Statfjord field including:
• Planning of new wells
• Mapping and maturing of new resources including near field exploration
• Important input to RNB profiles and other production profiles
• Maintain and develop geological and reservoir simulation models used on Statfjord main field and the satellites
• Screening and implementing IOR solutions
• Optimizing area solution and current business plan

Competence requirements

• Minimum 5-7 year as an reservoir engineer, experience for field in operation is preferred
