Blue light is everywhere - TV, phones, computer and our home lighting. Blue light is usually most prominent around 12pm. By bombarding your eyes with blue light in the evening, you are constantly giving it signals to your brain and body to not get ready for bed as it must still me closed to 12 noon.
Blue light is damaging on our eyes - think about spending too much time on the computer, how much do your eyes hurt. These blue light blocking glasses help prevent that eye strain and allow you to sleep better at night.
Too much of this blue light stops natural melatonin production and severely effects the quality of your sleep. Poor quality sleep leads to weight gain, poor mood stability, increased chance of diabetes and poor performance - amongst other things.
Wearing blue light blocking glasses filters out the main wavelengths of light that negatively effect melatonin production and allow it raise normally. This means that when you get into bed, your melatonin levels are wear they should be and good quality and quantity of sleep can occur. You can therefore wake up feeling refreshed.
I stock two types of glasses - Evening and Afternoon
"Evening" blocks 97+% of blue light + 97% cyan and 75% of green (two other wavelengths which effect melatonin production)
"Afternoon" block 79+% of blue
"Nighters" - block 100% between 400nm and 550nm. The ultimate solution for natural melatonin elevation in the evening.
