You are talented in multiple areas; Behind the keyboard implementing the latest component, in front of others showing of the latest trends and at developing your colleagues to become better frontend developers.

When you see new and exciting technology, you’ll experiment with how it could be included to improve whatever it is you’re working on. 

As part of a multi discipline team you like sparring about user flows with designers, and finding the best solution to some data problems with your peer developers. You’re not afraid to step up and help in the discipline outside of your normal expertise and excel at taking on new challenges. 

With your seniority you’ll take on the lead frontend developer role and others will look to you for inspiration and guidance. You’ll meet people from all over northern europe, participate in their frontend forums and share your knowledge and insights with them.

Our brand new office (April, 2020) is located at Skøyen in Oslo, five minutes by train from Oslo Central Station.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be the lead frontend developer of a multi discipline team, developing new services and products. 

As a frontend role model, you’ll travel across all of our offices, facilitate knowledge sharing events and guide teams to make the right technical decision.

You are responsible for keeping up with recent frontend tools and trends and know which will help us move faster and with higher quality. 

You play a major role in conjunction with the human resources department in recruiting, orienting, training, and coaching the frontend developers.

Education

Master’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or any other related fields. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable.

Experience

To be a candidate for this position, you should have previous professional experience with software development. Experience in relevant areas to the role is a merit, but not a prerequisite:

• Modern frontend frameworks
• Worked with frontend application styling
• Have an understanding of application state and state management.
• Accessibility and general user experience knowledge
• Automatic testing
• Software development methodologies
• Continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Has contributed to open-source, volunteer-work or other technical forums.
• Familiar with API’s and working with backend.
