Nammo seek an engineer for developent programs related to propulsion systems based on solid propellant-, hybrid- and ramjet technology.

Nammo Raufoss is involved in several extensive development programs, both for the defence and space sector. A major activity is related to propulsion system based on solid propellant-, hybrid- and ramjet technology. Due to increased workload, Nammo Raufoss R&D department is recruiting a new colleague in the Chemical & Material Technology group. The position will also serve ongoing production and development programs in the ammunition sector.

Primary responsibilities:

• Development and evaluation of materials for rocket propulsion systems and ammunition products
• Maintain and develop chemistry/material competence and knowhow in key areas including energetics, polymer systems, insulation materials, surface- and bonding systems
• Participate in development programs, support process development and work in close coorporation with Nammo's laboratories and production departments
• Cooperation with national and international companies, institutions, suppliers and customers.

Place of work is Raufoss.

Qualifications:

• Higher education within chemistry and/or material technology
• General technical understanding and interest of multidisciplinary challenges
• Analytical skills, able to work independently and in teams
• Good skills in English and Norwegian, oral and written
