Do you want to be a key actor to secure and improve the performance of Nexans key high voltage plant, while being an ambassador of the quality of Nexans products and services?

We are seeking a department manager for the Materials Testing Laboratory in Halden. This key position is part of the Plant Technical Department.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Manage the department including responsibility of all personnel (15 people) and of the budget (15 MNOK)
• Deliver per defined target, objectives and budget for the department
• Define required investments needs and follow up of approved investment cases
• Ensure cooperation with relevant departments in the organization and contribute to improve long term performance
• Support other Nexans factories and laboratories (e.g. Charleston)
• Responsible for developing and have right competence in the department to perform requested testing
• Participate in tender work - ensure correct costing of relevant testing is provided to the tender team
• Represent Nexans in relevant internal and external forum

Professional qualifications

• MSc/BSc in chemical, electrical, mechanical, material, or similar
• Good knowledge of Nexans' products, systems and project execution is a plus
• Good English and Scandinavian knowledge - written and oral
