Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Individual contributor who exercises financial activities and in this capacity:

• Produces Reliable Financial Information in respect with Thales Group Process and Norwegian law, such as P&L, Balance sheet , Fix Asset  and Depreciation,  Treasury , fundamentals for year-end reporting, credit line management, Adhoc reporting Locally or Group wise
• Manage VAT report and all other local tax in Altinn, payroll reconciliation, cash payment in the group system (cash pooling) and external bank
• Coordinate between the different stakeholders all the accounting posting in the ERP system (Maconomy), including the share services located in Portugal
• Month-end closing activities, including setting up and updating process for each fiscal closing
• Provide to management with all accruals needed on a monthly basis
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, AP, AR and inventory
• Manage foreign currency, monitoring exchange rate variations and hedges rates whenever needed
• Contributes to the development and selection of accounting systems and tools, and advises the head of departments on how to use them
• Handle, verify and process payment of employees travels expense report on a monthly basis (Concur)
• Coordinate internal audit, and external financial audit
• IFRS15/IFRS16 knowledge, Maconomy experience and Magnitude is definitively a benefit
• Depending upon candidate, job could evolve to additional group reporting and budgetary analysis.
• Become the key user of Maconomy. Managing access rights, cost center structure and point of contact with Deltek (ERP consultant)

Position-Specific Education, Experience and Certifications

• Business Administrative Education or relevant experience as accounts responsible.

Work experience

• Typically requires 3-5 years minimum relevant work experience, whereas 5 years as accountant in a company with project accounting principles and Norwegian GAAP, IFRS15

Specific Skills and Certifications

• Maconomy knowledge is a must
• Customer Focus
• Ability to handle large workloads with timely delivery
• Attention to details as well as ability to monitor trends
• Super-user Excel,  and other relevant systems and application
• Concur experience is a plus
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
