General Manager til NorthSea Terminal, Brevik

DFDS has successfully undergone major changes in recent years. DFDS is the consolidator in the shipping and logistics industry in Europe and has a strong record of acquiring businesses. The company has doubled in size over the last decade and continues to grow rapidly with the recent acquisition of UN RoRo (larger Mediterranean shipping company). DFDS is running at a rate with revenues of ~16 bDKK and EBITDA of ~3.6 bDKK.

Brevik terminal is one of the leading Norwegian terminals, located between Oslo and Kristiansand - close to E 18. Both Ro – Ro and Lo – Lo vessels have regular calls in Brevik. Brevik is an intermodal HUB, connecting both sea, rail (electric) and road at the terminal. The terminal is located close to one of the biggest export areas in Norway, with potential for further growth.

Role & Responsibilities

As General Manager for NorthSea terminal you will be responsible for the ordinary operational business but also to develop and expand the business. In line with the business strategy and defined targets, your focus will be to identify new business opportunities with both new and already existing customers.

In this role you will be responsible for a team consisting of twelve people. Together with the team you will become an important member of the team to develop the business strategy within the ferry Division and North Sea North.

Personal profile

We are looking for an experienced person with a strong personal drive, strong leadership skills and commercial mindset. The ideal candidate for this position has a broad logistic background and experience both from shipping, terminal and container business. It is also important that you have a broad network within the business as well as local knowledge.

To become successful in the position you should have strong communication skills and the ability to create trustful relations and a proven, successful, track record for delivering excellent results. A starter and opportunity driven person that is good at establishing customer relationships, will have great chance for success in this role. English is a prerequisite.

Travelling to different areas and DFDS locations will be an important part of the job.
