The Business Manager MODU is an integral part of the leader-group and is responsible to initiate and conduct relevant continuous improvement processes which are required in order to develop and improve our work in the MODU business.
The role secures that Archer Engineering’s strategies and business plans are thoroughly followed up within the department and that QHSE plays a major part of our business.
Key responsibilities
- Conducts business intelligence towards the drilling contractors, shipyards, oil companies and other relevant parties in order to identify market opportunities and set strategic goals.
- Engages with relevant internal stakeholders within own department in order to establish routines, methods, guidelines, resource sharing and the like.
- Closely following up clients in order to develop business.
- Sets and develops the organization and resources within the business line.
- Securing that activity is run in accordance with internal requirements and client’s expectations.
- Identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
- Secure successful delivery of projects through the project team.
- Follow up of our performance records and strive to set standards for improvements.
- Secure competitive project execution models.
- Provide input to strategies and business development within the MODU segment.
- Responsible for budgets.
- Follow up of personnel in the organization.
- Follow up of project controls and project change management.
- Secure good relationships with other internal departments.
- Tendering work.
- Internal and external reporting as required.
- Secure compliance of business with governing rules and regulations, client contractual requirements and internal procedures.
- Commercial and contractual follow up.
Preferred background and qualifications
- Higher education (Bachelor or Master Level).
- Relevant experience with drilling projects from a drilling contractor
- Strong knowledge of project management
- Experience in a leading role.
- Experience within sales and commercial mind-set.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Enthusiastic, optimistic approach and ability to quickly understand and respond to client needs and expectations.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written
- Structured, analytical and proactive work attitude
- Independent and solution oriented
- Broad network in the drilling industry.
