For one of our clients in the seismic industry, we are recruiting a Tax Manager that will strengthen the finance team at the headquarters in Oslo. The Tax Manager will perform a variety of functions related to the Norwegian and international tax aspects of operations and planning strategies.

You will be working in the Group Finance department with main work scope towards the operations side, contributing during tender and project phase. You will in this role report to the Group Finance Director.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of tax for a group working in an international environment
Assist from tender process to final filings of required tax and compliance reporting, including illustration flow of goods, personnel and services and assess required tax implications and comply with those
Review of contracts with customers for tax area
Tax planning
Identify and mitigate tax risks
Manage and coordinate tax audits
Plan, develop and coordinate all required transfer pricing documentation
Ownership of tax balances in the accounts
Coordinate all tax papers and handle associated data requests
Coordinate personnel income tax for personnel working in different jurisdictions with external suppliers
Initiate and implement policy and process improvements within the tax/finance area

Desired background and skills:

Master’s degree in economics, law or other relevant higher education
Minimum 10 years’ experience from relevant position in an international company/group
Experience from the offshore industry is an andvantage
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent experience in coordinating processes to ensure timely and compliant tax reporting
Interest in IT and systems to benefit from those in the tax compliance work
Flexible and motivated by working towards continuous improvement
Meticulous attention to detail, organisational and administrative skills
High degree of communications skills, fluent in English both written and verbal
