VP, Head of Design and Planning in Technologies & Services

Would you like to lead the team who supports and drives IT strategy execution and modernization in all Business Units across the Nordics?

The design and planning team has a key role in executing objectives and strategies for the IT development in Telenor across the Nordics.

As part of our team, you will drive the execution of our strategic ambitions, through a modernization roadmap to a cloud based, efficient and engaging customer centric IT. Working with local Business Units, we develop the cross-functional way of work toward a common IT operating model.

In this role you will make good use of your excellent communications skills, as well as your ability to build strong relationships, including CxO level, across geographies and functions. We expect you to be eager to manage and drive change within IT, in collaboration with BU.

Job description

As Head of Design and planning you will:

• Build and lead a team capable of driving and supporting the Nordic Business Unit IT strategy execution and IT transformations.
• Support IT application & infrastructure solution design, and drive standardization/modernization projects.
• IT Strategy, modernization planning and BU roadmaps.
• Seek cross-BU collaboration and synergies on IT (operating model and solutions).
• Ownership, initiation and execution of global or regional IT projects  
• Drive in the financial planning process (CAPEX/OPEX) to align BUs' roadmaps with IT technology direction.
• Demand management for global IT domains
• Ensure adherence to Telenor Groups Technology Policy & Risk management across BU?s in the region.

Qualifications and personal qualities

• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management or Business Administration with Technology focus, or excellent performance and comprehensive experiences within these areas of expertise.
• 8+ years of experience within IT, preferably within strategy development, solution development and operations
• 5+ years of management and leadership experience within IT
• Strong leadership, change management and collaboration skills ? ability to build strong relationships across geographies and functions.
• Extensive experience running IT projects/programs
• Excellent communication skills and CxO exposure, with ability to drive change in complex and dynamic global organizational structures
• Ability to work across large, multi-country organization with both solid and dotted reporting lines.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
