Local Unit & Position Description

DNV GL is a key player in Norway within environmental and climate risk assessment, oil spill response, environmental monitoring and environmental technology advisory for the oil and gas industry.

The Environmental Risk Management section consists of 32 experienced consultants. We deliver innovative solutions to our customers both locally and globally. We help operators, rig owners, EPC-companies and yards to select technologies, design and solutions that improve environmental performance and energy efficiency, and reduce environmental risks in a cost-effective manner.

Climate risk advisory and low carbon solutions is a strategic growth area for O&G Region Norway. We are looking for candidates who can contribute to this growth ambition. In this position, you will use your technology expertise and network to build business, and manage and deliver projects. You will be working closely with our business development manager and technology and risk experts across the DNV GL organization. The scope of work will include technical advisory, project management, service development and innovation, marketing activities, networking and sales - all in close contact with our key customers.

Position Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with strong technical skills within power generation and use in O&G, and insight in green technology solutions. The candidate should have a business mindset and a broad network in the oil and gas industry.

Qualifications:
Bachelor / Master’s degree within relevant technical discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience from work in the oil and gas industry (operators, EPC company, O&G consulting) with background in:
• Energy management and technologies for saving energy and reducing emissions and costs in a life cycle perspective
• System engineering and process modelling, including optimization of power systems
• Project management

Our preferred candidate should also have experience within some of the following areas:
• Climate risk assessment and low carbon solutions
• GHG emission reductions and CO2 tax and quota costs
• Project development in O&G
• Cost analysis

Good command of English- and preferably Norwegian, both spoken and written

Personal qualities
