Together, we can power the future as a European payments champion

Working for Nets, you’ll become part of an exciting growth journey. We’ve set out to make it easier and more intuitive to handle payments, because we see it as the foundation for growth and progress both in commerce and society.

Nets Corporate Services provides a leading ecosystem of account-to-account based services including clearing, electronic invoicing, bill-pay and instant payments services to banks, corporates and their customers. More than 90% of Danish and Norwegian households use Nets services to pay their bills.

On 6 August 2019, Nets entered into an agreement with Mastercard, selling its account-to-account based services. This is the largest acquisition ever made by Mastercard and a move for this leading global payments player to embrace the real-time payments opportunity and further strengthen its unique position as the one-stop partner for any bank. Therefore, this position will transfer to Mastercard with approximately 275 other dedicated employees upon closing of the deal which is expected in the first half of 2020.

This position can either be located in Copenhagen or Oslo, based on the best available candidate.

In this role, you’ll power an easier tomorrow for all of us

We expect you to develop your talent and aim higher as you work to change payments. You’ll build on our proven track record as a Nordic leader with 50 years of experience and strengths in delivering innovative and reliable payment solutions.

You will be expected to act as a business partner to the Technology organisation which is the engine of Corporate Services’ business model, driving significant investments and supported by over 200 FTEs (including outsourced FTEs). As such, you will have a unique opportunity to work with business critical projects and key decision makers, ensuring that Finance is a value-adding partner in terms of transparency, predictability and stability regarding the financials of Technology.

Specifically, main area of responsibility will include:

  • Own monthly financial management reporting to Corporate Services CIO and the Technology Management Team (including responsibility for month end close).
  • Execute financial planning activities for the entire Technology area.
  • Drive the management of Corporate Services investment portfolio to ensure transparency, fact-based decision making and highest potential return on the portfolio.
  • Be a full member of the Technology Management Team – put finance on the agenda and install transparency, commitment and “cost ownership culture” with peers.
  • Support Corporate Services carve-out from Nets in connection with the Mastercard acquisition.

You contribute with skills, ambitions and that little personal twist that makes us succeed

It’s the full package that you bring to work every day that gets the job done. Your professional acumen and experience form most of your qualifications, but it’s your personality that makes the difference to succeed in this role. Especially the little twists we all have that makes us personalities instead of just a person.

Your professional qualifications include:

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience, working as a Business Controller, Analyst or similar.
  • Experience from fast moving, demanding and result driven finance organisation.
  • Proven track record in working with large quantities of data in a “complex context” – experience from Technology, Telco or similar industries is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting and driving significant investment decisions (including being comfortable with forming “own opinions” and recommendations based on data, analysis and experience).
  • Experience as a real “Finance Business Partner” (challenging and supporting the business to drive performance improvement and make the right “data driven decisions” at the right time).
  • Ideally you are experienced with agile principles and iterative software development so that you can be a catalyst in the agile transformation of Corporate Services.

Besides that little twist in your personality that makes you, we are looking for a colleague who can engage as a trusted partner and influencer while being pro-active, outgoing, trustworthy and strong on creating and maintaining relations. We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English so that you can communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Power your career. Apply now or at latest 31.10.2019
