The Role
We are seeking an experienced and competent Senior User Experience Researcher to join our fast-growing core design practice in the Nordics and working alongside other multi-disciplinary diverse teams. You will identify and scope research opportunities – and then plan, conduct and synthesize research into meaningful insights into customer personas, behaviours and motivations, journeys and key strategic recommendations for evolving the products and services. You must be a self-driven passionate advocate of end user, and employ your research skills to drive data and insights led decisioning and ensuring user centricity of the products and services being designed.

Typical activities at work

• Plan and conduct user research for a diverse variety of projects at various stages of progress, including approach formulation, selection of appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Synthesizing research observations, raw data and findings to meaningful insights, recommendations and patterns, and articulating them in appropriate visualilzed and sharing formats.
• Planning and facilitating variety of client/internal/stakeholder workshops, understanding current state and identifying gaps and hypotheses and co-creation sessions.
• Working closely with project team to see the customer experience being designed and delivered in light of the user insights.
• Create research briefs based on project proposals and client inputs.
• Be a storyteller - deliver insights about people and behaviour - verbally and visually - in a way that generates empathy, emotion, and engagement from the clients, projects team and wider stakeholders.
• Inspire innovative approaches to user research, using creative facilitation techniques and taking the lead at client meetings, internal company meetings, brainstorms and external research and insights events.
• Provide your expertise to help shape and win new business opportunities, lead pitches and provide thought leadership.
• Mentor other team members.

Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge and experience with both qualitative and quantitative user research methods.
• Thought leadership on embedding right user research methods along the design and product/service lifecycle.
• You will have demonstrable experience and portfolio in a user research positions with ideally 4+ years of experience.
• Experience developing personas, service blueprints, user journeys and customer journey frameworks.
• Strong understanding of user research techniques and analytics tools.
• Experience in developing and presenting conceptual approaches and synthesizing feedback.
• Ability to communication effectively and present and sell your research outputs effectively to key stakeholders. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to work and thrive in an environment with shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and in at least one of the Nordic languages. Proficiency in Norwegian is a plus.
• Experience working with global and distributed teams.
• Prior experience researching in the financial services space a plus.
