It is very likely that you have already had interactions with some of the platforms we operate for our customers, such as when booking your flight with Norwegian airlines, buying train tickets to / from OSL or delivering your tax returns in Norway.  

Our Solution Architects support sales and act as technical lead in close collaboration with our sales people, internal key stakeholders and our customers. As a Senior Solution Architect, the role requires technical expertise in the subject areas of infrastructure (Public / Private Cloud, network, storage, backup, security, server and virtualization solutions, data center and more) and related operating services according to current standards.

You will be responsible for supporting the business and sales process by preparing solution designs in accordance with the needs of each customer.

 

About the position

The Senior Solution Architect role is a key function for Basefarm. Our goal is to be a leader in the hybrid cloud market and ensure that our customers receive the best technical consultative advice and guidance possible.

 

You will be the technical lead in sales cases, designing and assessing enterprise cloud technology architecture and applying technical expertise and consulting knowledge in advising clients. In addition, this role assists with customer presentations and proposal development efforts.

Your main deliverables will be:

 

·         Technical solution designs (HLD/LLD)

·         Write service descriptions and ensure compliance with customer requirements

·         Solution risk assessment and mitigations

·         Assist sales in making value proposition

·         Assist sales in lead qualifications

 

Requirements

We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong inner drive to succeed. You should be able to easily build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have a willingness to learn and progress.

In terms of experience you should have:

  • At least five years´ experience working in a technical sales environment
  • Experience with database technologies and designs
  • Proven track record in designing complex cloud solutions
  • Xaas solutions and services across AWS/Azure/GCP, and VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix
  • Capabilities across modern IT and classical technical subjects (Mode 1 - Mode 2)
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English (oral and written)
