Job Description:

The position is part of the RF/Infra Team located in Eik, with main responsibilities of all RF-Systems, Antennas and Site infrastructure including Station security, HVAC, UPS, Power distribution, Generators+++ and Projects.

The team consists currently of 3 Senior Engineer.

Main responsibilities / tasks

Projects:

Draw up RFQ/RFP for new systems and for system upgrades, Both RF and Infrastructure Marlink owned VSAT equipment at Eik.
Participate in preparation and evaluation of new bids.
Project management during all phases of a project.
Participate in “Future Teleport strategy / long term planning”
Follow up project suppliers.
Participate in project completing and tests.
Collect and secure project / system documentation.

Operation and Maintenance:

Operation and maintenance of all RF-systems at Eik/Sætra.
Operation and maintenance of all antennas at Eik/Sætra.
Assist and follow up requirements from our hosting customers.
- Plan and participate in building maintenance with both internal resources and external suppliers.
- Follow up on external suppliers of both RF and Infrastructure systems.
- Draw up maintenance procedures for both RF and Infrastructure systems.
- Operations and maintenance on Eik/Sætra infrastructure, including:
  - HVACs systems
  - UPS systems
  - Power distribution, including 48 V DC, break and no-break distribution.
  - Generators (4) with distribution.
- Station security and safety, including fire security
- Follow up / secure quality of Eik common tools and equipment, such as:
  Instrument calibration, general tools, station cars, + +

Essential qualifications:

Technical education at Bachelor level or equivalent.
Fluent verbal and written Norwegian and English
Be able to handle colleagues/customers in a positive manner
Driver licence

Qualifications : Skills/expertise

Knowledge of Satellite Communication systems
RF/antenna knowledge
Knowledge of RF measurement equipment
IP and network knowledge
Working closely in a team
Experience from a technical service, preferable within Satellite Communication Systems
