Process Specialist - PRA Group

PRA Group is seeking a strong candidate to strengthen our ongoing efforts to develop operational excellence.

The person will be part of the Nordic Analytics & Operational Strategy team and report to the Director of Analytics & Operational Strategy located in Oslo. The team consists of 6 people placed in Oslo, Helsinki and Uppsala. The team’s overall responsibility is to ensure that we give the right offer to our customers in the right channel in an effective way, through data driven strategies and analytics.

Main role and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be able to translate business requirements into robust and reliable processes, working together with IT and Business to improve the collection process and collection system (Nova).  

Main task includes:

• Business and process analysis to define the business needs. Work with Operations & IT colleagues to deliver business improvements and operational excellence
• Adapt and optimize the collection system towards how we want to work
• Optimize, atomize and quality assure the collection system in Norway
• Provide customer support to operation and training of users
• Develop and maintain robust data enrichment processes
• Participate in projects relating to business improvements
• Support periodic data-oriented processes (new book-on’s, month-end requirements, or other ad-hoc tasks)
• You should be an active member of the Nordic Analytics & Operational Strategy Team and take initiative/ownership for building a world class collection company

Candidate profile:

• 2-3 years of experience from business consulting or similar
• Business School or University degree at Master level in a quantitative field, such as business administration, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics and/or engineering with excellent results
• Fluent in English and Norwegian
• Excellent MS Excel skills and proven user of SQL
• Analytical orientation, a structured approach, high quality standards, be attentive to details and be able to understand the complete picture
• Self-driven, proactive, goal oriented and effective (“get things done”)
• Critical and creative thinking (be able to identify problems, come up with solutions and think “out of the box”)
• Ability to co-operate and work well within a team situated in three different countries
• Be comfortable to interact with executive-level contacts and audiences
• Be able to effectively handle a variety of tasks and priorities at the same time
• Due to the nature of the role, periods with heavy workload requires the candidate to work well under pressure
