Do you feel as at ease in front of a whiteboard as you do in front of your code editor?

Do you have experience with the raw performance of native code in C++ or the productive expressiveness of Python?

Do you have a degree in computer science or other sciences (geology/reservoir technology/mathematics/physics) or experience in delivering great software?

We are now looking for enthusiastic Software Engineers to join our development teams in Oslo, Norway. We are looking for developers with proven skills in one or more of the following: API development, Web & UX design, 3D graphics and knowledge in reservoir or wells domains.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis and Design. Analyze requirements and develop functional and technical specifications and implementations that provide solutions

• API design and implementation

• UX design and implementation

• Algorithm design and implementation

Required qualifications and experience:

• Solid experience with C++, Python is a plus

• A degree in computer science or other sciences (geology/reservoir technology/mathematics/physics)

• Experience with development of scientific software is a plus

• Experience with web development and cloud platforms is a plus

• A basic understanding and interest in the overall reservoir management workflow, math and science is a plus

In Emerson E&P we use the following technologies and tools:

• C++ and Python languages

• Platforms: Windows, Linux, Azure

• Cross platform framework: Qt

• Visualization: Open Inventor, OpenGL, HueSpace, CUDA, INT libraries

• Web development: JavaScript / TypeScript, React, Docker, Kubernetes
