Be part of Kuehne + Nagel a global and market-leading logistics provider strongly positioned at the high-tech end of the logistics industry. You will join our Airfreight Perishables department based in our office in Oslo, playing a vital part in the operations team within the Seafood exports at Kuehne + Nagel Norway.

YOUR ROLE

As Senior Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day airfreight operations and ensuring the optimisation of airfreight solutions for our fish exporting customers at Kuehne + Nagel Norway. Your role will have a pivotal impact in developing our customer portfolio to support our continued growth in KN market share. You must thrive with operational tasks and broad stakeholder collaboration. We expect you possess a customer-centric mind-set and have the ability to act as a mediator between Kuehne + Nagel Norway and our customers and suppliers. Reporting to the Airfreight Department Manager, the scope of the position is to deliver operational excellence and provide freight forwarding solutions for the export of fish and Perishable goods in a timely and efficient manner to our customers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure customer operational excellence, to position KN as the first choice provider of Supply Chain solutions in the market
• Follow up and communicate with airlines, colleagues, customers, and participating in client meetings
• Optimise the operational freight forwarding solutions for our customers to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency
• Compile transport documentation and planning of transportation
• Filing, Invoicing and administrate financial files
• Proactively participate in the daily operations and negotiate with air carriers and other suppliers
• Be conducive to the further development of our Perishables Airfreight department
• Understand and be compliant to internal guidelines and quality systems

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Experience from a similar role within the freight forwarding or airlines industry
• Sound experience with the export of fresh fish and knowledge of the fish export industry
• Customer-centric approach and excellent communication skills to interact with clients and suppliers
• Service-minded and responsible
• A proactive and solution-oriented approach towards assigned tasks
• Collaborative and able to work in a team
• Target driven, efficient and high work capacity
• Fluency in oral and written Norwegian and proficiency in English is a prerequisite for this role
