Technical Safety Engineer

Aker Solutions has recently secured new long-term contracts on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and the project portfolio in Bergen is rapidly expanding. We are now recruiting several new employees to strengthen our teams and prepare for future growth.

Aker Solutions Safety & Environment department based in Bergen consists of highly qualified Safety & Environment engineers. The engineers are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services. We now have an opening for position as Technical Safety Engineer in Aker Solutions Bergen.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Technical safety work and HSE related to maintenance and modification projects on offshore oil and gas systems. Includes study work, FEED and detail engineering
• Varied tasks and responsibilities such as: HSE reviews, fire and gas evaluations, working environment, safety operational reviews, write study reports, perform/participate in HAZID.

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• MSc or BSc within HSE/Technical safety or similar
• Some experience within the oil and gas industry
• Personal Qualities: Accurate, flexible and organised, service minded, ability to work independently, teamworking skills
• Good knowledge of English both verbally and written language. Fluent in Norwegian is mandatory
• Software Skills: MS Office
• Offshore course is required
