Senior Instrument Engineer

Aker Solutions has recently secured new long-term contracts on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and the project portfolio in Bergen is rapidly expanding. We are now recruiting several new employees to strengthen our teams and prepare for future growth.

Aker Solutions Instrument department based in Bergen consists of over 34 highly qualified Instrument engineers. The engineers are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services.

We now have an opening for position as Senior Instrument Engineer in Aker Solutions Bergen.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Maintain Hook-up register / Scope of work Responsible to develop Engineering Workpacks (EWP) with necessary support documentation in order that contractor can prepare work packages for the installation work process

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as “Skilled worker” or 1 year Field Engineer
• B.Sc Engineer within relevant area of profession or equivalent
• Knowledge of the following: - Best practice relevant for the work - discipline engineering methods - discipline engineering processes and activities in relevant execution phases - NORSOK (I-001, I-002)
• Detailed knowledge of the following: - Field installation methods (NORSOK, Z-010) - Physical material handling methods - Relevant design rules, regulations and standards - Requirements to interface with other disciplines and parties
• Competence to use the following tools: - TIME , PDMS
• Language Skills: Written and Oral Norwegian and English
