Job description:

Objective of Position: The primary objective of this position is to operate and support systems and applications that fit into Fugro’s Satellite Positioning system- and application-portfolio. The tasks include deployment and maintenance of new systems/applications and enhancement of existing systems. This includes participation in setup and operation of networks, operating systems and applications. We focus on automation and value the ability to work with different platforms, products and technologies. 

Our new team member will be part of our System Engineers/DevOps team, and will collaborate with external and internal parties and participate in daily operations. All DevOps-team engineers participate in 24/7 G4 duty phone rotation.

Technical skills:

• Bachelor's degree (engineer) in IT, telecom, programming or relevant area – or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of competency
• Deep understanding and experience with Linux OS - RHCSA/RHCE is a plus
• Experience with network administration - CCNA/CCNP is a plus
• Understanding of computer/server hardware
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
• Shell/Python scripting and application development skills
• Ability to read, understand and troubleshoot C++ code is a plus
• Understanding CI/CD pipeline flows/processes is a plus
• Understanding of databases and data plotting on Grafana platform is a plus

Job description:

• Monitoring and managing Linux server and Cisco network infrastructure
• Participate in daily operation and monitoring of real-time processes with high uptime requirements
• Monitoring and configuring remote devices, spread on a global network of GNSS receivers/antennas
• Working with continuous development and improvement of systems
• Working with automation of systems and network management
• Shell, Python scripting and applications
• Working on Docker solutions, orchestration and automation
• Working on CI/CD pipelines, building test flows for C++ and Python applications
