The Sales Director will have the overall responsibility for the commercial Avantor organization in Sweden and Norway. This represents yearly sales above 100m$ with more than 200 employees.

Working location: Stockholm or Oslo

 

VWR is looking for a leader that provides guidance and leadership to the team. This is key to ensure that every individual are enabled to deliver on their targets. The sales director is also responsible to maintain and develop a strong management team, that works as a collegiate team across multiple business units.

 

Key Tasks

  • Driver for enabling the team to deliver on their targets and goals in both countries
  • Ensuring the appropriate organization structure is in place to deliver on these commitments
  • Maintain, develop and strengthen customer relationships, directly and via the sales organization
  • Utilize statistics to understand and develop our market strategy
  • Advise and support on commercial activities with defined key accounts, ensuring contract compliance
  • Engage across the wider organization to understand the key drivers for performance in all areas
  • Implement corporate guidelines and initiatives
  • Report performance, challenges and opportunities to the Regional VP
  • Embrace and support all Company wide Talent development activities, including PMP (Performance Management Program), succession planning, training initiatives etc

Profile

  • 15+ years’ experience in sales (B2B, national and international)
  • 5+ years in sales management roles with a proven track record
  • Strong ability to understand market trends and identify customer needs
  • Analytical precision
  • Strong and pragmatic execution focus and resilience
  • Self-assured, mature and well-balanced personality, with excellent leadership, coaching and team building skills
  • Experience in leading significant cultural change and transformation processes.
  • Language skills: English, Swedish and/or Norwegian
  • Good communication and negotiating skills
