Contract Administrator - Seadrill
On behalf of Seadrill we are now looking for a Contract Administrator.
Purpose of the role is contract coordination and support for Seadrill rig teams and building awareness of contractual content.
Responsibilities
Contract administration:
- Knowledge of the Contract – including review of all pre-award and subsequent commercial/ contractual correspondence to ensure that Seadrill contractual position is optimised and not jeopardised.
- Responsible for the commercial follow up and administration of the contract in close cooperation with the Rig manager/Project manager.
- Provide guidance on contract / commercial requirements, pursue opportunities and advise of obligations, objective and risk within the Contract to the Operations Team
- Focal point with regards to contractual follow up and requirements towards the Company in corporation and support from the Contract Department
- Establish proper invoicing routines in close cooperation with Rig Manager/Cost Controller.
- Prepare a contract review and facilitate review meeting internally and then externally with Company to agree upon administrative procedures and requirements
- Review of Amendments/Variation Order Requests, incl. commercial issues, prior to submission to Company.
- Responsible for escalation of rates and distribution of the approved adjusted rates.
- Hold a control function and check that rates and invoicing are in compliance with the Contract.
- Ensure all relevant contractual correspondence is properly registered in the document management system.
- Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes and Involve legal resources as required.
Market/Tender activities:
- Participate in Tender input from Seadrill within the agreed time frame and in accordance with the requirements set out in the ITT
Organisation:
- Identify areas/processes for contractual administration that can be standardised in order to improve efficiency in business and reduce business risk across Seadrill
- Implement best practise for contractual administration
- Assist in set-up of operating structures in new geographic locations when needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Industrial organization. Extensive experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.
- Preferable some experience with working knowledge of from oil and gas industry.
- 3-7 years relevant experience.
Skills
- Commercial attitude and able to work under pressure.
- Structuredand systematic with good communication and writing skills.
- Dynamic and enthusiastic team player with the ability to motivate staff.
- Fluent Norwegian and English skills both written and oral.
