Job Summary
- Perform and be responsible for RGR and new part inspection
- Issue inspections reports and perform dispositions
- Contribute to maintaining necessary calibration of equipment and tools belonging to the department
- Perform inspections offshore and on site depending on the need of the company
- Review documentation to ensure that correct repair / modification have been performed
- Assist workshop with solving problems / challenges quickly and correct
- Assist the QA with meeting objectives according to ISO9001, API QI and other demands
- Perform work tasks according to Cameron policy and procedures
- Cooperate with shift leaders and workshop manager when performing inspection and reporting to the appropriate departments
- Register hours correctly according to the company’s time recording system
- Report status daily according to agreement
- The employee shall through its work, actively contribute to prevent accidents and damage to personnel, equipment and environment by following the established control systems
Qualifications & personal attributes
- 3 years technical education machine/mechanical, certificate of apprenticeship or equivalent. Long relevant experience may compensate for formal education
- Liquid Penetrant Testing Certificate (PT level 1 & 2)
- Magnetic Particle Testing Certificate (MT level 1 & 2)
- Ultrasonic Testing Certificate (UT level 1 & 2)
- Be able to read technical drawings and relevant packing lists
- Full knowledge and ability to use measurement instruments, such as micrometer, vernier caliper, ball gage, hardness testing etc.
- Good computer skills for reporting and logging
- Ability to work structured and organized
- Good English skills both written and oral. Norwegian skills are an advantage.
- Some travel might be expected
This is a permanent staff position based at Randaberg.
