Quality Specialist with technical background and interest for Quality

Main responsibilities and tasks

• Take active role as part of the QA Tech team, including taking direction in work of the team, defining and developing standard operation procedures and contribute in driving team results.
• Review supplier documentation, including Material Test Reports, NDE Reports, Weld Reports, Inspections Reports, etc. for completeness, accuracy and compliance to applicable product, project and engineering specifications.
• Process workflows in Teamcenter and SAP based on inspection outcomes.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, bill of materials, quality plans, and other technical documents, as needed.
• Create and/or disposition NCR’s in SAP for items found out of compliance.
• Create Documentation Inspection checklists based on product, project and material specifications, with the support of segment specific engineering.
• Create physical items in Teamcenter and link relevant supplier manufacturing records.
• Lead and/or Participate in Process Improvement activities, including Yellow Belt, Lean projects, ODM, etc.
• Report on product and process performance.
• All other duties as assigned by team leader or direct manager.

Job Qualifications

• We are looking for a person with a technical background that understands and has an interest for Quality
• Previous experience with engineering, design and/or material, preferred.
• Education as Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, preferred. Experience may displace required education.
• Preferably manufacturing experience
• Be able to work independently and with high focus level
• Knowledge of industry standards (NORSOK, ASME, etc.)
• Material and/or product design knowledge

This is a permanent staff position based at Horsøy, Kleppestø.
