Senior Telecom Engineer

Aker Solutions has recently secured new long-term contracts on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and the project portfolio in Bergen is rapidly expanding. We are now recruiting several new employees to strengthen our teams and prepare for future growth.

Aker Solutions Telecom department based in Bergen consists of over 7 highly qualified Telecom engineers. The engineers are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services.

We now have an opening for position as Senior Telecom Engineer in Aker Solutions Bergen.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Responsible for design/engineering on microwave radio systems, fiber optical systems and computer/telecom networks
• Perform offshore surveys
• Follow up of supplier, documentation update, update register information
• Production of job cards

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Bachelor or Master degree
• Good knowledge to microwave radio systems, fiber optical systems and computer/telecom networks
• Preferably hands on experience and the possibility to travel offshore for surveys
• Good communication skills written/spoken in English
