Power System Design Engineer

ABB is looking for a candidate with competence in power system calculations and design.

ABB needs to re-enforce the study group for contribution to specific projects and early phase studies with a senior design engineer.

The work may range from detailed calculations in projects to ‘high level’ calculations and evaluations in conceptual design phase. The candidate will also work with equipment delivery projects from time to time.

The candidate should have interest and skills within:
• Power system studies
• Industrial power systems
• Power transmission through long cables
• Design and selection of dynamic compensation equipment
• Batteries and related power electronics
• Renewable
• Power system control
• ABB’s portfolio

Valuable and appreciating skills are;
• ability to learn and understand new things
• ability to apply theoretical knowledge with available components/equipment
• ability to convey the results in a simple and understandable way

Minimum requirements are:
• MSc Electrical Engineer
• 2 -5 years of relevant experience
• High level of English, oral and written
• Ability to speak or to learn Norwegian.
