Project Assurance and Quality Lead

Aker Energy is now looking for a Project Assurance and Quality Lead.

The Project Assurance and Quality Lead will contribute to project development by facilitating and performing reviews and verifications. This position ensures to secure a mature project through the gate process and oversee QA/QC is properly managed in the Pecan Project, QA/Risk environments in the Pecan project and in Field Development basis organization.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Provide Project Assurance tasks related to the project development process
• Plan and perform internal and external project QA audits
• Follow up on project experiences and lessons learned
• Attend project meetings, criticality reviews, internal-/ fabricator-/ subcontractor meetings, etc. as required
• Support the package responsible engineers, as required, in a Project Assurance advisory role
• Review Quality Management shortcomings, develop improvements and advise the Project Team on Quality Management related matters

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• University Degree in a relevant discipline: Engineering, Scientific, Quality/Risk management or higher education
• Minimum 10 years' of experience from an offshore related industry
• Knowledge of, and working experience with, applicable regulations and industrial standards
• Previous experience from offshore development projects
• Site and/or offshore experience
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English with cultural understanding
• PIMS
• Comfortable in engaging at all levels in the organisation, including site personnel
• Influential and persuasive regarding QA/QC issues
• Certified Auditor (ISO, or similar) is required
