Quality Engineer

Magseis Fairfield is seeking a structured, detailed and pro-active Quality Engineer to perform quality assurance, product improvement and support. The Quality engineer will also coordinate and manage the suppliers. The position reports to the QHSE Manager and job location is situated at Magseis Fairfield HQ at Lysaker.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and monitor supplier performance KPI’s
• Continuously improve the quality and performance at existing suppliers
• Support new supplier qualifications
• Log, track and review non-conformance and deviations from suppliers and follow up corrective and preventive actions
• Collect, compile, analyse and report products failures and identify the areas for improvement
• Support and lead internal and external quality audits and inspections
• Follow up to ensure close out of audit findings and improvement suggestions
• Quality responsible in the Engineering and Manufacturing projects

QUALIFICATIONS

• Newly graduated with university degree or equivalent, preferably in electronic or mechanical discipline; 
• or with a few years of work experience in quality engineering

• Quality or manufacturing knowledge and experience

• Ability to read Engineering drawings and technical documentations
• Proactive mindset, data analysis, and pay attention to details
• Self-motivated, team player and flexible
• Ability to work and communicate in an international working environment
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Computer literate
