Up Norway is a fast-growing tech start-up, catering to high end international travelers through a 2-sided digital platform. We are disrupting the way Norway as a travel destination is sold to the world, and our ambition is to become the leading provider of travel experiences in the Nordics! We have successfully created a matchmaking system with a human touch - which helps us connects modern travelers to unique experiences on a fully customised journey. Established in 2016, and with 400% order increase from 2017 to 2018 and customers from 40 different countries, Up Norway is already positioned as a key player in the Norwegian travel industry.

 

Our most important asset is our people. Our team consists of an operational team of 5 passionate industry insiders and a tech development team of 4. We are now looking to grow our team with two new key players; an Up Norway Insider – Sales Specialist, and a Head of Marketing. Do you have what it takes to be a part of our journey?


Your role: Up Norway Insider - Sales Specialist

The main goal of your role will be to convert incoming requests into high value sales and thereby turn dreams into real travel experiences!


  • Convert incoming request to high value sales.
  • Apply human touch when designing and booking private journeys for quality seeking leisure travelers. This involves converting requests received through our digital platform to experiences based on guest interests, as well as working with partners, calculating prices and creating digital itineraries.
  • Guest management before, during and after the journey.
  • Identify and analyze trends in the industry - among our travelers and partners, and act on these.

Your qualifications

  • Work experience within sales and impressive measurable sales results to look back at.
  • An ability to quickly get a grasp of a range of various software and tech solutions.
  • A genuine interest for creating unique experiences and delivering at a high service level.
  • Drive and a high working capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills; you are accurate, systematic and have a good understanding of logistics.
  • Fluent written and oral English and Norwegian, as well as excellent communication skills. This involves being able to adapt your way of communicating to connect with different niches of travelers
  • Extensive knowledge about Norway as a travel destination, including an understanding of travel logistics, seasonality and culture.
  • A creative and solution orientated mind.
