Nordic Semiconductor is the market leader in Bluetooth® Low Energy connectivity, with a growing portfolio of wireless devices, LTE-M and NB-IoT being the latest augmentation. Our SoC products are used by world-leading brands in a wide variety of applications, including wireless PC peripherals, gaming, sports and fitness, mobile phone accessories, consumer electronics, toys, healthcare and automation.

Nordic Semiconductor’s R&D capacity is expanding, and we are now hiring more engineers for our R&D center in Oslo. We are looking for embedded software architects, developers and programmers.

You will be working on architecture and implementation of wireless protocols, software development kits, and applications for consumer products and the internet-of-things. We are using Bluetooth, ANT+, 802.15.4 and Thread, NFC, and proprietary protocols. We program in C on Nordic Semiconductor’s microcontrollers with ARM Cortex-M processors.

We work in teams following agile methodologies. You will have the opportunity to be working in close co-operation with leading customers worldwide and take part in interoperability sessions with other system vendors and Bluetooth SIG standardization work.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybernetics or similar
• Good English communication skills. The working language is English
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Software design, development and testing experience
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• You enjoy new challenges and are excited about the chance to make a difference within the organization

DESIRABLE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Experience in some of these areas:
o Embedded real-time systems
o Wireless protocols and applications
o Wireless mesh networks
o Real-time operating systems
o Ultra-low power implementation
o ARM Cortex or similar micro-controllers
o Device drivers for hardware such as UART, SPI, timers, or NVM
