Project HSSE Manager

Aker Solutions has recently secured new long-term contracts on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and the project portfolio in Bergen is rapidly expanding. We are now recruiting several new employees to strengthen our teams and prepare for future growth.

Aker Solutions Safety & Environment department based in Bergen consists of highly qualified Safety & Environment engineers. The engineers are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services. We now have an opening for position as Project HSSE Manager in Aker Solutions Bergen.

Responsibilities and tasks: 

Responsibility for facilitating and safeguarding HSSE in the project organization by: 
• Secure implementation of AKSO HSSE governing documents 
• Establish HSSE plans and –programs as required
• Communicate the HSSE strategy, goals, KPIs and follow up activity plans
• Define and prepare/execute necessary HSSE training and information
• Drive processes for identifying and mitigation of operational risks 
• Support and drive the organization to deliver high HSSE performance 
• Secure site operations are compliant with applicable HSSE requirements 
• Measure and track HSSE KPIs. Report performance at site and communicate on a monthly basis
• Facilitate management on incident and accident investigations on site, and prompt tracking of actions for closure
• Communicate and share lessons learned and best practices and identify improvement ideas by analyzing performance

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in OH&S, or relevant science/engineering fields
• Knowledge of relevant HSSE standards and regulations 
• Ability to use HSSE tools effectively
• Leadership skills 
• Understanding of the drivers for HSSE performance and -culture Borth operative HSSE and administrative HSSE  Skills
• Language Skills: Written and Oral Norwegian and English
