A great opportunity for application security specialists!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to take on the role of Application Security Lead of Veracity.

Veracity is a part of DNV GL’s Business Area “Digital Solutions”, and its mission is to develop, operate and attract customers to an open digital platform and ecosystem. The main customers are asset owners and analytic service providers within the maritime, energy, oil and gas industries.

The core product of the unit is Veracity, designed to help companies unlock, qualify, combine and prepare data for analytics and benchmarking. Veracity will give customers access to industrial applications and data analytics services that can help them make better use of their data.

Veracity today has 1 million service subscriptions from more than 150.000 users in more than 15.000 companies.  Over 170 services are available in this ecosystem today, and it is growing rapidly! 

You will be a part of an international, cross-functional team of 40+ engaged colleagues that provide platform capabilities for the data industry.

Responsibilities:

• Be the authority on information- and application security measures on the platform
• Maintain the Veracity security roadmap and backlog
• Code platform security capabilities according to the Veracity roadmap and backlog
• Work with other developers in proactively addressing software quality and security issues
• Execute and improve established application security guidelines
• Train other developers in secure application development when needed
• Improve established DevSecOps processes, including test automation and CI/CD together with other team members

Position Qualifications

You are an authority in the application security space, are up-to-date on current threat scenarios and appropriate mitigation activities. You hold a Master or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and have minimum 8 years of experience in secure software development.  You enjoy coding, and want to combine development with the security specialist role.

You have developed web applications using several of the following framework and languages : .NET, node.js, C#, JavaScript.

You should have solid knowledge of OWASP, SANS and ISF best practices, and tools for application security testing and vulnerability scanning. Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure AD, PaaS services, API management, app service environments) and some experience with software architecture and design patterns is preferable.

Finally, you have experience with agile methodologies, and understand what it takes to successfully implement Scrum in a team.

Additional qualifications that are of interest to us:

• Microservice architectures, experience with event driven software architectures, typescript, Python
• E-Commerce
• Distributed system design
• Caching
